I've just finished a portrait commission of this gorgeous little girl. I used pencil and watercolour, and she will soon be float mounted in a beautiful vintage-looking white frame, hand made by Fine Framing.

An Art Nouveau Owl

Hi folks! This is my first post on Illustration Dust and the work so far has been pretty amazing. So I hope mine passes muster!

I made this painting as a submission for the upcoming Cheap Zine book about art nouveau and fashion (don't know if it's actually made it in but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...) The bird is a barn owl, and the flowers on the wallpaper are cornflowers and corn marigolds. It was just a bit of fun really but I'm pleased with the result.
